These tiles were in the garbage heap of renovation destruction at a recent work site. We had to save them, for I don't think this young dutch girl has ever been man handled in such a way. Look how stoic the old man is, does he see the encrouching giant tulips. Just an average day walking the canals and seeking shade under the petal of a devastatingly huge tulip. It must have been a hard decision for the homeowners to take these tiles out. Imagine waking up, walking to your kitchen to make your coffee and being visually slapped in the face by this homage to someone's motherland. You could spend the rest the the day just trying to get back on the right track.
